Not one, but two Last Night of the Proms Concerts were presented in one day to separate audiences in Halifax. We very much enjoyed our first visit to Illingworth Moor Methodist Church, where we were made very welcome. A return visit to the very hospitable audience of Christ Church, Barkisland, later the same day, was an enjoyable way of continuing the Proms theme. Both audiences waved their flags and sang with vigour which only added to the sense of occasion.
